Ainslie Scott & Callum Lowe-Griffiths 2015-2016
Ainslie & Callum have recently been appointed joint Club Captains at Willoughby Swim Club. Together, they bring many years of experience in training, consistent results and outstanding sportsmanship to their roles. They are excellent role models both in and out of the water for all swimmers in our club.
Q: What do you plan to do for the Club?
Ainslie & Callum: We want to make the club an even friendlier place where the younger, newer members have people to talk to, with racing experience, and people who will mentor them. We believe this will help with their confidence in racing & training. That’s what we loved when we became members, having those older swimmers looking after us and guiding us along the process.
Past Club Captain – Jacqui Schafer:
Message to team Members:
“I hope that Willoughby swim club can grow over the upcoming years with more people joining the club competitively and also those who are currently part of the club continuing to improve on their personal bests and train hard day in day out. Hopefully as a team we can foster a supportive environment whereby every swimmer is encouraged to do their best. A positive atmosphere around pool deck makes achieving goals possible and enjoyable. Willoughby Swim Club has a fantastic and unique tradition of all swimmers having very close friendships in what is a great tightknit community. At competitions hopefully we can present this united team with confidence and set the standard for both swimming and team support. Willoughby Swim Club is full of talent and hard workers, it will be great to see the club progress at the forefront of swimming in NSW.”
